👥 Kingdom Keys Presents • Meet Your Neighbor
Meet Your Neighbor Governance
What to Expect • What We Ask • What You Can Expect From Us
Please review these guidelines before participating in a Meet Your Neighbor conversation so you can understand the experience, your choices and boundaries, and the commitments we make to one another.
Meet Your Neighbor is built around a simple idea: every person has a story, and every person deserves to be approached with dignity, curiosity, and respect.
Our conversations are designed to be warm, authentic, and human.
They are not intended to be rehearsed performances, formal interrogations, debates, or opportunities to manufacture controversy.
We want to meet you.
We want to hear about the experiences that have shaped you, the things you have learned, what matters to you, what may have been placed in your hands, and whatever parts of your journey you feel comfortable sharing.
These Participation Guidelines explain what you can expect when you participate in Meet Your Neighbor, what we ask of those who join us, and the commitments Kingdom Keys makes in return.
They are intended to help create an environment in which both guest and host can enter the conversation with clarity, appropriate boundaries, mutual respect, and the freedom to have a genuine conversation.
Prepared With Care. Shared With Respect. Centered on the Person.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to meet you.
A Conversation, Not a Performance
Meet Your Neighbor is not about giving perfect answers.
You do not need to rehearse your story, prepare a speech, memorize talking points, or become someone different when the camera begins recording.
Our goal is simple:
We want to have a genuine conversation with you.
We may come prepared with questions and possible areas to explore, but those questions are intended to help begin the conversation—not control it.
Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen when a story leads somewhere none of us expected.
You may remember something you had not planned to share. A question may lead to a lesson you learned years ago. A conversation about your work may become a conversation about family, purpose, perseverance, identity, community, faith, creativity, healing, or something else that has shaped your journey.
We want to leave room for those moments.
Your profession, business, ministry, organization, accomplishments, or position may be part of your story.
But they are not the whole of your story.
We are interested in meeting the person behind the role.
That may include where you came from, what influenced you, challenges you have faced, lessons you have learned, people who shaped you, things you care deeply about, what you are building, and what you hope your life contributes to others.
You decide how much of your personal journey you are comfortable sharing.
Meet Your Neighbor welcomes conversations with people from many different backgrounds, cultures, professions, generations, traditions, beliefs, and perspectives.
Participation does not require you to agree with Kingdom Keys or with every other person whose story may appear within the experience.
Difference is welcome. Harm is not.
We ask everyone who participates to approach the conversation with the same basic dignity and respect we commit to extending to them.
The purpose is not to prove that everyone is the same.
It is to create enough space to truly encounter one another.
“We are not asking everyone to become the same. We are learning to see one another beyond what makes us different.”
Bring your experiences. Bring your perspective. Bring the lessons you have learned. Bring the questions you are still exploring. Bring the parts of your story you believe may help someone else. And bring the freedom to simply be present.
We will prepare for the conversation. We do not expect you to perform for it.
From Invitation to Conversation
We want your Meet Your Neighbor experience to feel thoughtful and welcoming from the moment you accept our invitation.
You should never have to wonder what happens next.
Before we sit down together, Kingdom Keys will provide the information you need to understand the conversation, prepare comfortably, and make informed decisions about your participation.
After you accept an invitation to participate, you may receive a brief welcome and preparation process.
This may include:
The information you share during preparation helps us approach the conversation thoughtfully.
It is not intended to create a script.
Guests joining us at the Kingdom Keys studio can expect a relaxed and welcoming environment.
We want you to have time to arrive, settle in, become comfortable with the space, and meet with us before recording begins.
Where available, simple refreshments such as water, coffee, or hot tea may be offered.
We will explain the recording environment and answer any questions you may have before beginning.
There is no need to arrive ready to “go on camera.”
We want to meet the person before we record the conversation.
Some conversations may take place at a business, workplace, organization, community space, event, or another appropriate location connected to your life or story.
Our production team will work to arrange equipment and recording needs while minimizing unnecessary disruption to you, your customers, employees, organization, or environment.
Any location permissions or special considerations required for recording should be addressed before the conversation whenever possible.
Distance does not have to prevent us from meeting.
Some Meet Your Neighbor conversations may take place through approved remote technology.
When this occurs, we will provide reasonable instructions to help you prepare your camera, microphone, lighting, internet connection, and surroundings.
Technical perfection is not expected.
Our goal is simply to create an environment in which we can see one another, hear one another, and have a meaningful conversation.
You will have an opportunity to ask questions and receive clarification about the conversation and recording process.
Required consent or release documentation should be completed before recording intended for publication begins.
We also encourage you to remind us of any previously discussed boundaries or concerns.
Preparation exists so that when the conversation begins, we can concentrate on what matters most:
being present with one another.
Clear Before We Begin. Comfortable While We Talk. Respected Throughout the Experience.
You Decide What You Are Comfortable Sharing
Authentic conversations sometimes travel into unexpected places.
A memory may surface.
A question may touch an experience you had not planned to discuss.
A story about your work may lead into family, faith, loss, relationships, challenges, healing, identity, finances, personal struggles, or another part of your life.
Being invited into a Meet Your Neighbor conversation does not require you to share every part of your story.
You remain free to decide what you are comfortable discussing.
During preparation, we may invite you to identify subjects you would prefer not to discuss or areas that should be approached with particular sensitivity.
Sharing those preferences helps us prepare responsibly.
You are not required to explain why a particular subject is private.
A simple request such as “I would prefer not to discuss that” is enough.
Whenever reasonably possible, those boundaries will be communicated to the appropriate Kingdom Keys team members involved in preparing or hosting your conversation.
Your boundaries do not disappear when recording begins.
If a question makes you uncomfortable, you may:
You do not need to provide an explanation for declining a question.
Our Conversation Host may ask follow-up questions because we are genuinely interested in understanding your story, but Meet Your Neighbor is not designed to pressure guests into revealing information they do not wish to share.
We value honesty and authenticity.
But authenticity should never be confused with the belief that a person must reveal their most private experiences in order for their story to matter.
Sometimes the most meaningful conversation is deeply personal.
Sometimes it is not.
Both can be valuable.
Your worth as a neighbor is not measured by how much of yourself you are willing to disclose.
Your story may naturally include other people.
Family members. Friends. Coworkers. Employees. Clients. Patients. Students. Customers. Community members. Or people connected to difficult experiences from your past.
We ask guests to exercise care when sharing private, sensitive, confidential, or potentially harmful information about others—particularly information they may not have permission or legal authority to disclose.
Kingdom Keys may choose to edit, omit, pause publication of, or request clarification concerning material that creates significant privacy, safety, confidentiality, legal, or integrity concerns.
Sometimes a person says something during a natural conversation and later realizes that the information was more private or sensitive than they intended.
If this happens, please communicate with us as soon as reasonably possible.
We cannot promise that every requested edit or removal will always be possible, particularly after material has been published or distributed, and the formal media consent and corrections policies will govern those situations.
However, we want guests to communicate concerns rather than remain silent because they are afraid to ask.
We will consider concerns thoughtfully and in accordance with our editorial, privacy, safety, consent, and publication standards.
The same dignity we extend to our guests should also be extended to the Conversation Host, Kingdom Keys team members, other guests, people discussed during the conversation, and the communities represented.
Authenticity does not require disrespect.
Difference does not require hostility.
And meaningful conversation does not require the abandonment of healthy boundaries.
Share Freely. Set Boundaries Honestly. Honor the Stories of Others.
We want to hear your story without forgetting that it still belongs to a person.
Bring Your Story. Bring Your Respect.
Meet Your Neighbor is intentionally designed to welcome people from many different walks of life.
Our guests may come from different professions, communities, cultures, generations, faith traditions, political perspectives, economic circumstances, family experiences, and ways of seeing the world.
We do not expect everyone who sits with us to agree.
We do expect everyone who sits with us to participate with honesty, dignity, and respect.
We encourage you to share what you have lived, learned, questioned, discovered, built, overcome, or come to understand.
Your perspective does not need to represent an entire profession, community, culture, faith, organization, or group.
It is enough to speak from your own journey.
When expressing opinions or beliefs, we ask guests to distinguish personal perspectives from established facts where that distinction matters.
Knowingly false, deceptive, or materially misleading claims are inconsistent with the integrity of the experience.
Meet Your Neighbor should never become a platform for degrading another person or group.
Disagreement can be expressed. Difficult experiences can be discussed. Institutions and ideas can be questioned. Harm can be acknowledged. Strong convictions can be held.
But participation should not be used to promote harassment, threats, hatred, humiliation, dehumanization, exploitation, or intentional harm toward others.
Please exercise care when discussing information that belongs to someone else.
This is especially important when your work involves professional or legal confidentiality, including healthcare, counseling, education, ministry, business, employment, financial services, legal matters, or other relationships involving private information.
Participation in Meet Your Neighbor does not remove professional, contractual, ethical, or legal confidentiality responsibilities.
When in doubt, tell your story without unnecessarily exposing someone else's.
We are happy to hear about your work, business, ministry, organization, cause, project, creative work, or something meaningful you are building.
Those things may be an important part of your story.
However, Meet Your Neighbor is not intended primarily as a platform for advertising, fundraising, political campaigning, recruiting, attacking competitors, or delivering a prepared promotional presentation.
We want to meet the person behind what they do.
Where appropriate and with permission, approved information about your business, organization, project, website, or public social presence may be included with your Neighbor Profile.
We ask guests to provide requested preparation information as accurately as reasonably possible.
Please let us know about significant changes that could affect the conversation, including scheduling concerns, accessibility needs, location considerations, participation boundaries, or information previously provided to Kingdom Keys.
If you are uncertain about something, ask.
Clear communication helps us create a better experience for everyone.
Participation in Meet Your Neighbor should be voluntary.
No guest should participate because another person, employer, organization, business, family member, sponsor, or Kingdom Keys representative has improperly pressured them to do so.
Before recording intended for publication, guests will be given access to the applicable participation information and consent documentation.
If you decide that you no longer wish to participate before recording begins, please tell us.
Kingdom Keys reserves the right to pause, end, decline to publish, edit, postpone, or otherwise address a conversation when necessary to protect participants, third parties, the Kingdom Keys community, or the integrity of Meet Your Neighbor.
This discretion is not intended to eliminate honest differences.
It exists so that openness does not come at the expense of responsible stewardship.
You do not need a perfect story. You do not need impressive accomplishments. You do not need to agree with us. You do not need to have everything figured out.
We simply ask that you come willing to participate authentically and respectfully.
Be Honest. Be Present. Be Respectful. Be You.
We will bring the same commitment to the table.
Our Commitment to Every Neighbor
Participation in Meet Your Neighbor is an act of trust.
When you sit down with us, you are allowing Kingdom Keys into a part of your life and story. We do not take that invitation lightly.
Just as we ask our guests to participate with honesty, dignity, and respect, Kingdom Keys accepts responsibilities of its own.
Our commitment is to steward the conversation—and the person behind it—with care.
Meet Your Neighbor exists because people matter.
We will not intentionally pressure you to manufacture emotion, exaggerate experiences, create controversy, or reveal private information simply because doing so might attract more attention.
We are interested in meaningful stories.
But the person will always matter more than the performance of the story.
Before the conversation, we will make reasonable efforts to understand the information you have chosen to share with us.
Our preparation may help us identify thoughtful questions, meaningful parts of your journey, and areas that deserve sensitivity.
Preparation exists to help us become better listeners.
It does not exist to manufacture a predetermined version of your story.
We will make reasonable efforts to honor personal boundaries you communicate before or during the conversation.
You may decline a question, request a pause, or tell us that you prefer not to continue discussing a particular subject.
We will not intentionally use pressure, embarrassment, deception, or confrontation to force disclosure.
Recorded conversations may require editing for length, clarity, pacing, technical quality, privacy, safety, or distribution format.
Shorter excerpts may also be created for approved Kingdom Keys media and distribution channels in accordance with applicable permissions.
However, Kingdom Keys will not intentionally edit your words in a manner designed to materially distort the meaning of what you communicated.
Our goal is to preserve the integrity of the conversation even when its presentation must be adapted.
Before recording intended for publication, you will be provided with the applicable media consent and appearance release information.
We want guests to understand how their voice, image, likeness, conversation, and related approved materials may be recorded, edited, published, archived, and distributed.
If you have questions about those permissions, we encourage you to ask them before signing or recording.
Participating in Meet Your Neighbor does not automatically make every piece of information you provide to Kingdom Keys public.
Contact details, preparation responses, hospitality information, private communications, administrative information, and other non-public information will be handled according to applicable Kingdom Keys privacy and information-handling standards.
Only approved public contact information and external links should appear on your Neighbor Profile.
Meet Your Neighbor welcomes people with different experiences and perspectives.
Your participation does not require you to endorse every Kingdom Keys teaching, belief, guest, program, or perspective.
Likewise, featuring a guest does not necessarily mean Kingdom Keys endorses every belief, statement, business, organization, product, service, or position associated with that person.
The purpose of the experience is to create meaningful human encounter—not artificial agreement.
If you believe something concerning your participation, profile, published information, privacy, or representation requires attention, we want you to communicate with us.
Kingdom Keys will maintain appropriate processes for requesting corrections, updates, or review of concerns.
Not every requested change or removal can necessarily be guaranteed, particularly after publication or distribution, but concerns will be considered according to the applicable consent, editorial, privacy, corrections, and removal standards.
Our relationship with a guest should not end when the cameras stop recording.
Where appropriate, Kingdom Keys may follow up after the conversation to:
You may also be invited to recommend another person whose story you believe deserves to be heard.
Neighbor Introduces Neighbor.
No policy can replace good judgment, human dignity, or responsible stewardship.
Meet Your Neighbor therefore carries a commitment deeper than simply following procedures.
We want you to leave knowing that you were welcomed, heard, respected, and valued.
Whether your story reaches ten people or ten thousand, that commitment does not change.
Your Story Matters. Your Dignity Matters. You Matter.
Thank you for trusting us with the opportunity to meet you.
What Happens After We Sit Down Together?
When the conversation ends, the stewardship of your story continues.
A Meet Your Neighbor conversation may become part of a larger experience that allows people to encounter your story through Kingdom Keys and, where appropriately authorized, through other approved distribution channels.
Before publication, the recorded material moves through a review and preparation process designed to preserve the integrity of the conversation while preparing it for others to experience.
Recorded conversations may require editing.
This may include adjustments for:
Editing is part of producing a clear and engaging story.
It should never become a tool for intentionally changing the meaning of what you said.
Published guests may receive a Neighbor Profile within the Meet Your Neighbor Experience.
The profile is designed to introduce the person—not merely display a video.
Depending on the conversation and the information you have approved for publication, your profile may include:
Not every Neighbor Profile will contain every element.
The profile should reflect what is appropriate for the individual story.
If your business, profession, ministry, organization, creative work, community service, project, or other endeavor is meaningfully connected to your story, we may provide viewers with an opportunity to learn more.
Where appropriate, you may be asked which public links or information you authorize Kingdom Keys to display.
Providing information to Kingdom Keys does not automatically mean it will be published.
Kingdom Keys retains editorial discretion concerning what information and external links appear within the Meet Your Neighbor Experience.
A longer conversation may contain individual moments capable of encouraging, informing, or inspiring people who may never encounter the full conversation first.
Where permitted by the applicable media agreement, Kingdom Keys may prepare excerpts or adaptations such as:
These expressions should remain connected to the integrity and context of the original conversation.
Depending upon the applicable permissions, editorial decisions, and relevance of the story, Meet Your Neighbor material may appear within approved Kingdom Keys environments and distribution channels.
The exact rights granted for recording, editing, publication, distribution, promotion, archiving, and related uses will be governed by the Meet Your Neighbor Guest Media Consent & Appearance Release and other applicable agreements.
These Participation Guidelines provide an overview of the experience.
The Media Consent & Appearance Release establishes the permissions.
Recording a conversation does not guarantee publication.
Kingdom Keys may determine that a conversation should be delayed, edited further, withheld, or not published because of technical, editorial, privacy, safety, legal, integrity, mission-alignment, or other reasonable concerns.
Likewise, participation does not guarantee a particular publication date, amount of promotional exposure, number of views, audience response, business result, or other outcome.
Meet Your Neighbor exists first to steward meaningful human stories responsibly.
When appropriate, Kingdom Keys may notify you when your Neighbor Profile or conversation becomes available and provide a link you may share.
We may also contact you if:
Your Neighbor Profile can therefore become more than a record of a conversation.
It can become a place where people continue to encounter your story.
The Story May Travel. The Person Still Matters.
A conversation recorded in one room may eventually reach people in communities we never expected.
A sentence may encourage someone.
An experience may help another person feel understood.
A lesson may travel farther than either guest or host imagined.
That possibility is part of what makes responsible stewardship so important.
We Do Not Simply Publish Conversations. We Steward Stories.
And behind every story is a person we have been entrusted to honor.
What You Do May Be an Important Part of Your Story
Our work often tells us something about who we are.
A business may have begun with a dream. A ministry may have grown from a personal experience. A nonprofit may exist because someone encountered a need they could no longer ignore. A creative project may express something its creator has carried for years. A profession may represent decades of learning, service, sacrifice, and purpose.
For that reason, Meet Your Neighbor does not separate people from the meaningful things they have built, created, served, or contributed to their communities.
When those things are genuinely part of your story, we want to be able to talk about them.
During preparation, Kingdom Keys may invite you to provide public information connected to your work or story.
This may include:
You may choose which links or public resources you would like Kingdom Keys to consider.
Providing a link does not automatically guarantee that it will appear within your Neighbor Profile or other Kingdom Keys content.
Kingdom Keys retains editorial discretion concerning which external resources are appropriate to publish.
Where appropriate, a Neighbor Profile may include a simple opportunity for viewers to continue discovering what you do.
For example:
Connect With [Name]
Website • Business • Organization • Project • Social Media
Only information appropriate for public display should be submitted for this purpose.
Private telephone numbers, personal email addresses, home addresses, private social accounts, or other non-public contact information should not be submitted for publication unless a specific arrangement has been discussed and approved.
Being featured through Meet Your Neighbor may introduce your work, business, organization, project, or mission to people who did not previously know about it.
We are happy when authentic human connection creates meaningful visibility.
A viewer may discover a local business. Someone may learn about a community organization. A young person may discover a profession they had never considered. A potential customer, supporter, collaborator, volunteer, mentor, or friend may encounter something valuable through your story.
Those possibilities are welcome.
However, they are a potential result of the relationship—not the purpose of the conversation.
Participation should not be approached primarily as an opportunity to deliver a commercial, sales presentation, fundraising pitch, political campaign message, recruitment presentation, or advertisement.
We want to hear about what you do.
But even more importantly:
We want to meet the person who does it.
Kingdom Keys may redirect, edit, limit, or decline material that becomes primarily promotional or otherwise inconsistent with the purpose and integrity of Meet Your Neighbor.
A donation, sponsorship, purchase, partnership, business relationship, volunteer contribution, or other form of support for Kingdom Keys does not guarantee:
Likewise, declining to financially support Kingdom Keys should not by itself disqualify an otherwise appropriate neighbor from consideration.
Stories are not for sale.
Where Kingdom Keys enters into a separate sponsorship, advertising, affiliate, or commercial relationship, that relationship should be governed and identified separately as appropriate.
Approved links on a Neighbor Profile may lead visitors to websites, businesses, organizations, social platforms, or services that Kingdom Keys does not own or control.
Kingdom Keys may review a resource before deciding whether to link to it, but external destinations can change over time.
The presence of an external link should not automatically be understood as Kingdom Keys endorsing everything found on that destination.
Additional requirements concerning external resources will be addressed within the Meet Your Neighbor External Links & Guest Information Policy and applicable Kingdom Keys standards.
If public information associated with your Neighbor Profile changes, we encourage you to let us know.
For example:
Kingdom Keys may update, remove, or decline external links when necessary to maintain the integrity, safety, and usefulness of the experience.
Your business matters. Your profession matters. Your organization matters. Your project matters. Your contribution matters.
But none of those things determine your worth within Meet Your Neighbor.
You Are Not Being Invited Because You Have Something to Sell.
You are being invited because there is someone we'd like to meet.
An Invitation to Conversation Is Also a Responsibility
Meet Your Neighbor exists to create space for authentic human stories, including stories and perspectives that may be different from our own.
That openness is intentional.
So is our responsibility to steward the Kingdom Keys platform with care.
Inviting people into conversation does not mean that every statement, subject, recording, or proposed guest must automatically be published.
Kingdom Keys retains editorial discretion over the Meet Your Neighbor experience.
Guests are not required to share the beliefs, theology, politics, worldview, opinions, lifestyle, professional background, or personal experiences of Kingdom Keys or other Meet Your Neighbor participants.
A meaningful community contains people who see some things differently.
Those differences can create opportunities to listen, understand, learn, and encounter perspectives outside our own experience.
We will not intentionally use editorial standards simply to manufacture agreement.
Our guiding principle remains:
Difference Is Welcome. Harm Is Not.
Kingdom Keys may decline, pause, end, edit, postpone, withhold, remove, or otherwise address participation or content when we reasonably determine that doing so is necessary to protect people, the integrity of the experience, or the Kingdom Keys mission.
Concerns may include, but are not limited to:
Context matters, and Kingdom Keys may consider the nature, purpose, severity, credibility, and potential impact of the material when making editorial decisions.
Meet Your Neighbor may include conversations about painful, controversial, complicated, or uncomfortable subjects.
A person may speak about failure. Loss. Injustice. Trauma. Discrimination. Conflict. Faith. Politics. Family struggles. Health experiences. Financial hardship. Community problems. Mistakes they have made. Or beliefs that others strongly disagree with.
The existence of a difficult subject is not by itself a reason to avoid the conversation.
Responsible storytelling sometimes requires us to sit with things that are uncomfortable.
Our responsibility is to approach those subjects with appropriate care, context, dignity, and discernment.
Meet Your Neighbor is not designed around outrage, confrontation, humiliation, or sensationalism.
Kingdom Keys will not intentionally provoke guests simply to create dramatic clips, misleading headlines, viral moments, or engagement.
Likewise, guests should not use the conversation as an opportunity to manufacture controversy for personal exposure.
Attention is not the measure of a meaningful conversation.
Editorial decisions may sometimes require material to be shortened, clarified, contextualized, rearranged for presentation, or omitted.
Those decisions should seek to preserve the integrity of what was communicated while also protecting privacy, safety, accuracy, clarity, and the overall purpose of the experience.
Kingdom Keys will not intentionally use editing to materially reverse or distort a guest's meaning.
At the same time, guests should understand that participation does not provide automatic control over Kingdom Keys' final editorial decisions except where specific rights are established by an applicable written agreement or law.
There may be circumstances in which a meaningful conversation is recorded but ultimately not published.
Reasons may include:
Kingdom Keys may also determine that additional review, clarification, editing, or follow-up is appropriate before publication.
Featuring someone through Meet Your Neighbor means that Kingdom Keys determined there was value in allowing that person's story or perspective to be encountered.
It does not necessarily mean Kingdom Keys endorses every statement, belief, opinion, business, organization, product, service, affiliation, or position associated with that person.
Likewise, a guest's participation does not mean the guest endorses everything associated with Kingdom Keys.
We can encounter one another without pretending we are identical.
Editorial standards are not intended to make Meet Your Neighbor narrow.
They exist so that it can remain open responsibly.
We want to welcome difference without abandoning discernment. Encourage authenticity without exploiting vulnerability. Allow difficult conversations without manufacturing division. Provide exposure without selling influence. And honor people's stories without surrendering responsibility for the platform entrusted to us.
Open Enough to Listen. Wise Enough to Steward.
Because honoring the person also means protecting the integrity of the place where their story is shared.
Sharing With Us Does Not Automatically Mean Sharing With Everyone
Preparing for a meaningful conversation sometimes requires Kingdom Keys to learn information about you before anything is recorded.
You may provide contact information. Answer preparation questions. Tell us about your background. Share hospitality or accessibility needs. Identify subjects you would rather not discuss. Provide links to your business or organization. Or communicate privately with members of the Kingdom Keys team.
Not everything you share with Kingdom Keys is intended for publication.
We believe that distinction should remain clear throughout your Meet Your Neighbor experience.
Depending upon how and where the conversation takes place, Kingdom Keys may request information such as:
We should seek information because it serves a legitimate purpose within the experience—not simply because technology allows us to collect it.
Kingdom Keys should distinguish between information used internally to coordinate your participation and information intended for your public Neighbor Profile.
For example, an email address used to schedule your conversation should not automatically become a public contact address. A private preparation response should not automatically become profile copy. A hospitality preference should not automatically become part of your story. A personal telephone number should not automatically appear beside your business.
Internal information remains internal unless there is an appropriate reason and permission to use it publicly.
Before publishing public contact links or similar guest-provided information, Kingdom Keys should identify what information has been approved for public use.
Depending upon the individual profile, this might include:
Kingdom Keys may choose not to publish information even when it has been submitted if we determine that publication would be inappropriate, unsafe, misleading, unnecessary, or inconsistent with the experience.
Some stories involve information that deserves particular sensitivity.
This may include information concerning children, health experiences, finances, family circumstances, traumatic events, legal matters, precise locations, private relationships, or other highly personal subjects.
The fact that something is meaningful to a story does not automatically mean every detail needs to become public.
When possible, Meet Your Neighbor should seek to tell meaningful stories without unnecessarily exposing information that could create avoidable harm.
A guest's right to tell their story does not automatically include an unrestricted right to publish another person's private information.
When discussing other people, guests should consider whether names, identifying details, confidential information, or sensitive circumstances are actually necessary to the story.
Kingdom Keys may obscure, omit, edit, or decline to publish identifying information when appropriate.
Additional protections may apply when minors, patients, clients, students, employees, survivors, or other individuals with heightened privacy considerations are involved.
Meet Your Neighbor may identify a guest's city, region, business location, or other general geographic information when appropriate and authorized.
However, private residential addresses, precise personal locations, or other information that could create unnecessary safety or privacy risks should not ordinarily be published simply because Kingdom Keys possesses that information.
Kingdom Keys may use approved intelligence and automation systems to help organize guest preparation, create conversation briefs, manage production workflows, transcribe conversations, identify story themes, prepare profile materials, support follow-up, and maintain appropriate records.
These systems should operate according to the same human-centered principle governing the larger experience:
Technology Should Help Us Remember the Person—Not Reduce the Person to Data.
Information should be collected, retained, accessed, and used according to legitimate Kingdom Keys purposes, applicable privacy standards, appropriate access controls, and the permissions associated with the guest relationship.
AI-generated suggestions do not replace human responsibility for sensitive editorial, privacy, publication, or relationship decisions.
If public information associated with your Neighbor Profile becomes outdated, you may contact Kingdom Keys to request review.
For example:
Requests will be considered according to the applicable Kingdom Keys corrections, privacy, editorial, consent, and removal standards.
We want guests to understand what information is being requested and why.
If you are uncertain whether something you provide will remain private or may be considered for publication, ask before sharing it.
Likewise, Kingdom Keys should seek clarification when we are uncertain whether information was intended to be public.
Clarity protects everyone.
Information Is Part of the Trust
Meet Your Neighbor depends upon people being willing to share parts of their lives with us.
That trust should never become an excuse to collect more information than we reasonably need or expose more information than the story requires.
Know What We Need. Protect What Is Private. Share What Is Appropriate.
Because honoring someone's story also means honoring what they choose to keep personal.
Questions, Concerns, Corrections & Requests
People change. Businesses change. Circumstances change.
Sometimes information that was accurate when a conversation was recorded becomes outdated.
Sometimes a guest notices an error.
Sometimes a concern becomes apparent only after having time to reflect.
And sometimes circumstances arise that none of us anticipated when we first sat down together.
We want you to know how to reach us when something deserves our attention.
Participation in Meet Your Neighbor is voluntary.
If you have accepted an invitation but decide before recording that you no longer wish to participate, please let us know as soon as reasonably possible.
You may also contact us before the conversation to:
We would rather address uncertainty before recording than discover afterward that something was misunderstood.
If something concerns you while we are recording, please tell us.
You may ask to pause. Decline a question. Request clarification. Correct something you just said. Or tell the Conversation Host that you would prefer to move away from a particular subject.
Authentic conversation does not require silently continuing through something that does not feel appropriate.
If you remember an important factual correction, recognize that you accidentally disclosed sensitive information, or become aware of another significant concern after recording, contact Kingdom Keys as soon as reasonably possible.
We will review the concern according to the circumstances and applicable consent, privacy, editorial, safety, and publication standards.
Where appropriate, possible responses may include:
Submitting a request does not automatically guarantee a particular editorial outcome, but we commit to considering legitimate concerns thoughtfully.
Once a conversation, clip, quotation, Neighbor Profile, or other material has been published or distributed, changing or removing every copy may no longer be completely within Kingdom Keys' control.
Material may have been:
For that reason, Kingdom Keys cannot promise that every published copy can always be completely retrieved or erased.
However, you may still contact us if you believe published material requires attention.
We want the factual information Kingdom Keys publishes about our neighbors to be reasonably accurate.
If you identify a material factual error concerning your name, biography, role, organization, public links, location, or another factual element of your Neighbor Profile, you may request review.
Kingdom Keys may correct verified factual errors without changing the legitimate substance or historical record of the original conversation.
A Neighbor Profile may remain available long after the original conversation.
If circumstances change, an update may sometimes be more appropriate than altering the historical conversation itself.
For example:
Original conversation: Robert owned a particular business when the conversation was recorded.
Later update: Robert has since retired or begun a new endeavor.
Where appropriate, the profile may distinguish between:
What was true when we met
and
What has changed since then.
This allows stories to remain historically honest while recognizing that people's lives continue.
A request to remove published material will be taken seriously, but removal is not automatically guaranteed simply because a guest later changes their mind.
Kingdom Keys may consider factors such as:
More detailed procedures will be established in the Meet Your Neighbor Corrections, Updates & Removal Policy.
If a published story unexpectedly creates a credible safety, privacy, exploitation, or similar serious concern, Kingdom Keys should give the matter appropriate priority.
The fact that permission was originally granted does not mean we should ignore significant new information affecting responsible stewardship.
Likewise, the existence of a concern does not automatically determine the outcome.
Human review and discernment remain essential.
Meet Your Neighbor should never treat a person's life as frozen at the moment we recorded it.
People grow. Perspectives develop. Families change. Businesses evolve. Dreams expand. New chapters begin.
Where appropriate, those developments may even give us a reason to sit together again.
Perhaps We Haven't Heard the End of Your Story.
Our responsibility is to preserve what was shared faithfully while remembering that the person who shared it is still becoming.
Every Person in the Conversation Matters
Meet Your Neighbor is built upon human dignity.
That commitment applies to our guests, Conversation Hosts, production team, volunteers, community partners, property owners, other participants, viewers, and the people whose lives may be discussed during a conversation.
We want our environments to make room for honest stories, meaningful differences, difficult subjects, laughter, emotion, questions, reflection, and discovery.
For that openness to remain possible, everyone involved must also help protect the space in which it occurs.
Kingdom Keys commits to treating guests with dignity and respect.
We ask guests to extend the same consideration to everyone involved in the experience.
Participants should not engage in conduct that reasonably creates an unsafe, threatening, abusive, exploitative, harassing, or intentionally disruptive environment.
This applies before, during, and where relevant after the recorded conversation.
Strong opinions are not automatically disrespectful. Disagreement is not automatically hostility. Difficult stories are not automatically inappropriate.
Meet Your Neighbor should be spacious enough for people to speak honestly about complicated experiences.
The boundary is not whether everyone feels the same.
The boundary is whether we can remain committed to the dignity and reasonable safety of the people involved.
Guests visiting a Kingdom Keys recording environment should follow reasonable safety instructions related to the studio, production equipment, electrical equipment, restricted areas, accessibility, parking, entrances, and other site-specific considerations.
Kingdom Keys should likewise make reasonable efforts to provide a prepared, orderly, and welcoming environment.
If you have an accessibility need or another consideration that may affect your visit, please let us know in advance when possible so appropriate arrangements can be considered.
When Meet Your Neighbor comes to a business, workplace, organization, home, community space, or other location, we enter that environment as guests.
Kingdom Keys should respect reasonable site requirements and seek necessary permissions for recording.
Participants and location representatives should also help us understand relevant considerations involving:
The fact that a guest has invited Kingdom Keys to a location does not necessarily mean that every person, area, conversation, or activity at that location may be recorded or published.
Respect and safety standards also apply when conversations occur through remote technology.
Guests should participate from an appropriate environment where they have reasonable authority to record and where private information belonging to others is not unintentionally exposed.
We encourage participants to consider what may be visible or audible in the background before recording begins.
Kingdom Keys may pause a remote session if significant privacy, safety, technical, or environmental concerns arise.
Not everyone who happens to be near a recording has agreed to become part of Meet Your Neighbor.
Special care should be taken with identifiable bystanders, employees, customers, patients, clients, students, family members, children, or others who may appear or be heard.
Kingdom Keys may use framing, editing, blurring, audio treatment, omission, additional releases, or other reasonable measures when necessary.
In some circumstances, the appropriate decision may simply be:
Do not record that person.
Kingdom Keys may pause or end a conversation when reasonably necessary.
Examples may include:
Stopping does not necessarily mean the conversation has failed.
Sometimes responsible stewardship means knowing when not to continue.
If an emergency or immediate safety concern occurs, protecting people takes priority over completing the recording.
Cameras can stop. A conversation can be rescheduled. A story can wait.
People come first.
Meaningful stories sometimes carry emotion.
A guest becoming emotional does not automatically mean the conversation must stop, nor should emotion automatically be treated as something to capture for dramatic effect.
The Conversation Host should respond to the person rather than the production opportunity.
A guest may be offered time to pause, continue, change subjects, or end the conversation as appropriate.
Vulnerability Is Not a Production Asset.
It is something entrusted to the moment and should be treated accordingly.
Safety Does Not Require Sterility
Our goal is not to create conversations so controlled that nothing difficult, spontaneous, surprising, or deeply human can happen.
That would undermine the experience we are trying to create.
Instead, we want enough structure to protect the space and enough freedom for something genuine to occur within it.
Protect the Space. Honor the Person. Preserve the Conversation.
Because the safest meaningful conversation is not one without difference—it is one where people know their dignity still matters when differences appear.
Young People Have Stories Worth Hearing Too
Some of the most meaningful voices within a community belong to its children and young people.
They carry ideas. Dreams. Questions. Creativity. Experiences. Perspectives adults may have forgotten how to see. And emerging gifts that may eventually influence families, communities, professions, and generations.
Meet Your Neighbor may occasionally create appropriate opportunities for young people to share their stories.
When we do, however, their participation requires additional care.
A child or minor should not simply be placed into the standard adult Meet Your Neighbor participation workflow.
When a prospective guest is under the applicable age of legal consent, additional requirements may apply before recording or publication can occur.
These may include:
The detailed requirements will be governed by the Meet Your Neighbor Minor Participation & Parent/Guardian Consent framework.
Parent or guardian permission is important, but Kingdom Keys should also consider whether the young person actually wants to participate.
A child should not be treated merely as content because an adult has agreed to the recording.
Where age and circumstances allow, we want the young person to understand in appropriate language:
Why we are talking with them.
That recording may occur.
That other people may eventually see or hear the conversation.
That they can tell us when they are uncomfortable.
A young person's hesitation, distress, or clear desire not to continue should be taken seriously even when an adult has provided permission.
Questions and conversation topics should be appropriate to the young person's age, maturity, circumstances, and the purpose of the story.
Meet Your Neighbor should not pressure a young person to discuss highly personal, traumatic, controversial, or adult matters merely because the material might create a compelling story.
A Powerful Story Is Never More Important Than Protecting the Child Telling It.
Special care should be taken before publishing information that could unnecessarily identify, locate, contact, or expose a young participant.
Depending upon the circumstances, Kingdom Keys may limit or omit information such as:
The appropriate amount of identifying information may differ from one story to another.
A young person's Neighbor Profile should not automatically include the same external contact options that might be appropriate for an adult.
Any public website, project, organization, professional account, or social media link associated with a minor should receive additional review before publication.
Kingdom Keys should avoid creating unnecessary pathways for unknown viewers to contact a young guest directly.
Young people may naturally talk about friends, classmates, siblings, teammates, or other minors.
The participation of one young person does not grant permission to publicly identify or expose another.
Kingdom Keys may remove names, identifying details, images, audio, or other information concerning children who have not been appropriately authorized for inclusion.
Parents or legal guardians involved in a young person's participation should receive clear information about the experience, intended recording, publication possibilities, and applicable permissions.
They should also have an appropriate way to communicate relevant concerns before the conversation.
At the same time, adult involvement should not turn the young person's conversation into a rehearsed performance.
We still want to meet the young person.
Even when a parent or guardian has granted permission, Kingdom Keys may decline, postpone, pause, or end a young person's participation when we believe doing so is appropriate for safety, privacy, dignity, legal compliance, emotional well-being, or the integrity of the experience.
Permission allows participation to be considered.
It does not require Kingdom Keys to proceed.
Content involving minors should receive heightened review before publication or distribution.
That review may consider:
What seems harmless today may remain searchable years later.
That reality deserves thoughtful consideration.
A young person is still becoming.
The story they share today should not unnecessarily limit, embarrass, expose, or define the person they may become tomorrow.
Our responsibility is therefore greater than obtaining a signature.
It is to exercise wisdom about what should be recorded, what should be shared, and what may be better left private.
Hear Their Voice. Protect Their Dignity. Consider Their Future.
When our neighbor is a child, care must always come before content.
The Conversation May End. The Relationship Doesn't Have To.
When the cameras stop, Meet Your Neighbor does not want to treat the person we just met as a completed production.
You shared part of your journey with us.
You allowed us to listen.
You entrusted us with a story.
And perhaps together we discovered something neither of us expected when the conversation began.
We believe that deserves more than simply saying:
“Thanks for the interview.”
Following your conversation, Kingdom Keys intends to provide an appropriate follow-up acknowledging your participation and thanking you for allowing us to meet you.
Where possible, that communication should feel personal rather than automated.
Technology may help us remember important details and prepare communications, but the purpose is not simply to complete another workflow.
We want you to know that we heard you.
If your conversation is selected and approved for publication, Kingdom Keys may contact you when your Neighbor Profile or featured story becomes available.
Depending upon the circumstances, you may receive:
You are welcome to share your published Meet Your Neighbor story with your family, friends, customers, community, organization, or others who may appreciate meeting you.
The impact of Meet Your Neighbor should not be measured only by views, clicks, shares, or audience statistics.
We also want to understand the experience of the person who sat with us.
Kingdom Keys may follow up later and ask questions such as:
How did the Meet Your Neighbor experience feel to you?
Was there anything about the conversation that surprised you?
Did sharing your story cause you to see any part of your own journey differently?
Did someone reach out because they encountered your story?
Did any unexpected connection or opportunity develop?
Is there anything we could have done better?
Your feedback may help us continue improving the experience for future neighbors.
One reason we listen is because we never fully know what a story may reveal.
Someone watching may recognize a shared experience. A young person may discover a profession. A business owner may recognize a potential collaborator. An elder's wisdom may reach someone beginning the journey they have already traveled. A community need may become visible. A gift may be recognized. A relationship may begin.
Where appropriate, Kingdom Keys may help facilitate connections that naturally emerge from Meet Your Neighbor.
However, participation does not obligate a guest to accept contact, partnerships, business opportunities, requests for assistance, mentorship relationships, or other connections.
Connection should remain an invitation—not an obligation.
If someone wants to connect with you after encountering your story, Kingdom Keys should not simply provide them with the private contact information we collected during preparation.
Visitors should ordinarily use the public business, organization, website, social, or other contact pathways you have approved for your Neighbor Profile.
If a situation arises in which someone asks Kingdom Keys to facilitate a connection outside those public pathways, we may first seek your permission where appropriate.
Your participation is not permission for unrestricted access to you.
Lives continue after stories are published.
A business grows. A dream becomes reality. A family enters a new season. Someone changes careers. A community project develops. A lesson deepens. A person who once described what they hoped to accomplish may someday return to tell us what happened.
Some Neighbor stories may therefore eventually include:
Where Are They Now? or Let's Meet Again.
A follow-up conversation should not exist simply because time has passed.
It should happen when there is another meaningful chapter worth encountering.
One of the most natural ways Meet Your Neighbor can grow is through the people we meet.
After participating, you may know someone whose story you believe deserves to be heard.
A teacher. A neighbor. A business owner. An elder. A young person. A community servant. An artist. Someone who overcame something. Someone quietly doing meaningful work. Or simply someone you believe others would benefit from knowing.
You may be invited to recommend them.
Neighbor Introduces Neighbor.
A recommendation does not guarantee selection, and Kingdom Keys retains responsibility for reviewing prospective participants.
But sometimes the best way to meet the next neighbor is simply to ask the one sitting in front of us:
“Who do you think we should meet?”
Participating in Meet Your Neighbor does not automatically create an employment relationship, partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, membership, financial relationship, ministry relationship, or continuing obligation between you and Kingdom Keys.
Likewise, neither Kingdom Keys nor the guest is required to continue a personal or professional relationship simply because a conversation occurred.
If something meaningful grows from the encounter, we want it to develop naturally and appropriately.
Perhaps the greatest measure of Meet Your Neighbor will not be how many conversations we record.
Perhaps it will be the relationships, understanding, encouragement, opportunities, and unexpected connections that become possible because people were willing to sit together.
Some encounters may last for one conversation. Others may become friendships. Some may lead to collaboration. Some may introduce us to another neighbor. And some may simply leave both people grateful that their paths crossed.
All of those outcomes can have value.
We Came Together as Strangers. We Leave Knowing a Little More of One Another.
And sometimes that is where community begins.
Understanding Your Participation
We want every person who joins Meet Your Neighbor to make an informed and voluntary decision to participate.
Before a conversation intended for recording and publication begins, you should have an opportunity to understand:
If something is unclear, please ask before agreeing to it.
The Meet Your Neighbor Participation Guidelines are designed to help you understand the spirit, expectations, responsibilities, protections, and general processes associated with participation.
They are not intended to replace the specific permissions contained within an applicable consent, release, or other agreement.
In particular:
Reading These Guidelines Is Not the Same as Granting Media Permission.
Permission to record, use, edit, publish, distribute, promote, archive, or otherwise use your voice, image, likeness, conversation, or related materials will be addressed through the applicable:
Meet Your Neighbor Guest Media Consent & Appearance Release
Please review that agreement carefully before signing.
Depending upon the nature of your participation, additional Kingdom Keys or Meet Your Neighbor policies may apply.
These may include:
Where specialized requirements apply, Kingdom Keys should make reasonable efforts to identify the relevant information before participation proceeds.
Receiving an invitation does not obligate you to participate. Beginning the preparation process does not obligate you to complete it. Asking questions does not obligate you to sign an agreement. And declining an invitation does not diminish the value of your story or your relationship with Kingdom Keys.
We want your yes to be an informed yes.
Before recording intended for publication, Kingdom Keys should confirm that required consent and release documentation has been appropriately completed.
Our systems may help us organize and verify this process, but automation should never be used to bypass meaningful consent.
A checkbox, signature, or digital record is important.
But the deeper standard is:
Did the person have a reasonable opportunity to understand what they were agreeing to?
That question should remain part of our stewardship.
Policies can answer many questions.
They cannot anticipate every circumstance.
If you have a question about your participation, recording, privacy, public profile, media permissions, external links, boundaries, publication, or another part of the experience, we encourage you to contact Kingdom Keys before proceeding.
There is no penalty for asking for clarification.
Clarity Before Consent. Understanding Before Participation.
If you have reviewed these guidelines, had an opportunity to ask questions, and would like to continue, the next step is to review the applicable Guest Media Consent & Appearance Release and complete any remaining preparation requested by Kingdom Keys.
After that, we can turn our attention away from policies, forms, cameras, and production.
And return to the reason we came together in the first place.
Two People. One Conversation. A Story Worth Hearing.
Thank you for considering the invitation to become part of Meet Your Neighbor.
There are people we'd like to introduce you to. And perhaps, there are people who would like to meet you.
The Conversation Begins With Understanding
Thank you for taking the time to review the Meet Your Neighbor Participation Guidelines.
These guidelines exist for one reason:
To help create an experience where people can meet one another with clarity, dignity, respect, and trust.
If you have been invited to participate, your next step is to review the applicable media consent and appearance information and complete any preparation provided by the Kingdom Keys team.
If you are still deciding, take the time you need.
Ask questions. Review the information. And make the decision that is right for you.

Have a Question?
If something about participation, recording, publication, privacy, or the Meet Your Neighbor experience is unclear, we would rather hear from you than have you proceed with uncertainty.
Want to Return to the Experience?
Discover the vision behind Meet Your Neighbor and meet the people whose stories are becoming part of this growing community.
Every person carries a story.
Every story carries experiences, lessons, questions, gifts, and possibilities that may never be discovered unless someone takes the time to listen.
That is what Meet Your Neighbor is ultimately about.
Not collecting content. Not creating perfect conversations. Not asking everyone to become the same. But creating opportunities for people to truly encounter one another.
Beyond the Labels. Meet the Person.
